International Board Certified Lactation Consultant
With a passion for helping families achieve their breastfeeding and infant feeding goals, Alicia Luchsinger brings years of experience and compassionate care to her role as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) at Wonderfully Made Women’s Health. Serving families across New Hanover, Pender, and Onslow Counties, she is dedicated to providing personalized, evidence-based lactation support that meets each family’s unique needs.
Alicia began her lactation career in 2015 as a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist and earned her Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) credential in 2016. She served as a Breastfeeding USA Counselor from 2017 to 2023 and became an IBCLC in 2020 after completing more than 1,000 volunteer hours. She also gained valuable clinical experience working in a hospital setting in Wilmington, NC, for two and a half years.
Alicia specializes in return-to-work pumping plans, weaning support, and identifying potential oral restrictions that may affect infant feeding. She is particularly passionate about helping mothers achieve comfortable, pain-free breastfeeding through practical guidance, education, and individualized care. Her approach emphasizes understanding each family’s challenges and finding solutions that support their feeding goals.
Outside of work, Alicia enjoys spending time with her wife and family, sewing, visiting museums, and traveling. She is a Lifetime Member of Girl Scouts and actively volunteers with her children’s PTSA and PTO. She also loves Disney cruises and playing Mario Party with her wife.
